w20ETH

Every launch on 3l2p is denominated in w20ETH. It is ETH, wrapped as a B20 token — one to one, no fee, convertible back at any time. Here is why that wrapping is what makes taking part safe.

A transfer that carries an instruction

A B20 transfer can carry 32 bytes alongside the money. Taking part in a launch IS that transfer: it moves your funds and states what you meant in the same action. Plain ETH has nowhere to put those bytes, which is why participation is denominated in w20ETH rather than ETH.

You never grant anything permission over your funds

Because the instruction travels with the transfer, no contract ever needs an allowance on your balance. A vault can only receive what you send it. There is no standing approval to remember, and nothing to revoke afterwards.

One to one, and no fee

Wrapping mints exactly the w20ETH you sent in ETH; unwrapping burns it and returns exactly that much ETH. The wrapper takes no fee, pays no yield, and does not lend or invest what it holds — the ETH simply sits there until someone comes back for it.

The token cannot be changed by anyone

w20ETH was created with no admin at all. The wrapper holds only the right to mint and burn, and every other role is permanently unassigned: nobody can add a minter, pause transfers, apply a transfer policy, or alter the supply cap. The wrapper itself has no owner and cannot be upgraded.

Top up once, take part many times

The same balance works across every launch on the platform. Convert once, and each later participation is a single signature instead of a wrap followed by a transfer.

The reserve is not a claim: it is the wrapper's own ETH balance, and it always equals the w20ETH in circulation. Both are visible on the explorer.
